Notice anything different in this picture? This is so crazy! Ethan was messing around and he fell off my bed. It didn't look like he hit very hard but he was crying a little so I picked him up. I guess it probably knocked the wind out of him because his face went pale and his birthmark completely dissapeared. At first I was terrified because I thought he was about to have a seizure. But, he was acting pretty normal and his pupils were responding to light. Soon, he started to smile and asked me for a drink. I kept expecting the color to come back to his birthmark but it didn't. So I got my camera and started taking these pictures.
The color finally returned after about 10 minutes. He was just watching TV. You can see in the picture above when the color started to come back. It sure was amazing to witness.
This is the first picture I took. It looks a little creepy doesn't it?

Those laser treatments are amazing. His birthmark is really fading (even without the paleness of the moment). Modern medicine is a wonder!

The same thing happened to Aiden several times. I'll never forget the time he had to have a femoral IV inserted while awake. It took them over an hour to find the artery. He was in so much pain, he went completely white and his birthmark went away for a few hours. I remember watching from the hallway of the hospital sick to my stomach. His birthmark would also fade away before the stroke-like seizures he used to have or when he's really sick and vomiting.
Birthmark or no birthmark, he is a handsome boy! Watch out ladies!
